Madison Square Garden announces record-breaking $1 million Knicks celebrity row charity auction winners

The winners of the auction to win celebrity row seats at Madison Square Garden (MSG) for a New York Knicks NBA Finals game have been revealed, and they helped raise $1 million for the charitable cause.

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) announced that $1 million was raised for the Garden of Dreams Foundation through the fundraiser. A law firm, Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher LLP (Gibson Dunn), and a private-equity firm, Veritas Capital, split the winning bid.

According to the announcement, this was the “single largest donation in the history of the foundation.” The proceeds will “directly” go to the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

“We want to thank Gibson Dunn and Veritas Capital for their incredible generosity,” James Dolan said. “We’re proud that we were able to offer this opportunity to benefit The Garden of Dreams Foundation. This $1 million donation will be an invaluable resource to continue to help shape the futures of the young people we serve.”
