Knicks superfan Ben Stiller responds to Mike Brown’s ‘great day’ reaction to meeting him

It sounds like Mike Brown finally met Ben Stiller, and the New York Knicks superfan was just as happy to meet his favorite team’s coach.

During a recent press conference, the Knicks’ coach recalled his “great day for Mike Brown,” which included finally meeting the Night at the Museum star.

“I got a chance to meet Ben Stiller. I don’t know if he’s in here or not, but I actually gave him a handshake and a hug. I got my man, Fat Joe, sitting in the back. This is the great day for Mike Brown,” he raved.

Stiller then responded to the clip on social media, calling it an equally “Great day for Ben Stiller.” If the Knicks win a championship, there will be lots of “great days” ahead.

Knicks coach Mike Brown finally met Ben Stiller

Brown finally met Stiller after recently telling reporters that his wife would love to take a picture with him. Somehow, despite Stiller being one of the most recognizable Knicks celebrity fans, the head coach hadn’t crossed paths with him.

Stiller responded, saying, “I am available for any picture any time with any member of Mike Brown’s immediate or extended family or friends. This man has taken us to the Finals. In his first year here.”

The Knicks are preparing for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. They escaped Game 2 with a one-point victory to secure a 2-0 series lead.

Brown is two wins away from leading the Knicks to their first championship since 1973 in his first year as the team’s head coach. He’s a former two-time NBA Coach of the Year with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Sacramento Kings. However, he has yet to win a championship as a head coach. He previously won four titles as an assistant coach with the Spurs and the Golden State Warriors.
