Knicks star Mitchell Robinson’s Joel Embiid poster crashes NY’s heartwarming ‘dad duty’ post

During the team’s off days, the New York Knicks celebrated dads Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart with a heartfelt post before a fan made a meme out of Mitchell Robinson’s poster dunk over Joel Embiid.

The Knicks posted pictures of Brunson and Hart with their kids on social media with the caption, “Still on dad duty during the playoffs.”

However, one Knicks fan couldn’t let that slide. They photoshopped Robinson’s dunk over Embiid, making it appear the Philadelphia 76ers center was in a baby carrier. The fan quipped, “Mitch too [face holding back tears emoji.] They’re such great Dads.”

After a closely-contested Game 2 between the Knicks and Sixers, New York returned to their dominant ways in Game 3, winning by 14 points.

Robinson was forced to play a lot after Karl-Anthony Towns got into foul trouble. He played 19 minutes off the bench, logging six points. While he only made one field goal, it was the dunk over Embiid.

It must have felt good, given their history. Robinson was also sent to the free throw line four times. However, he made 50% of his free throws, making four of eight attempts.

He played in 60 games during the regular season, starting 16 of them. Robinson averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and less than an assist per game in his eighth year in the NBA. He was selected by the Knicks in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft out of high school.

The Knicks have a few days to rest before their next playoff series. They will either play the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Detroit Pistons, who are currently tied at two apiece in their series.

New York made easy work of Philadelphia, sweeping them. They previously beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
