Aaron Rodgers sends ‘unlimited’ warning during epic Steelers training camp prank wars

The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days away from kicking off their 2026 NFL preseason slate with a game against the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers’ former team. Rodgers’ status for that game is still up in the air, but the future Hall of Famer has been finding other ways to get acclimated with his teammates during training camp: by pranking them.

“People have got to be careful, because I do have unlimited resources to spend on pranks, so we can do pranks back and forth, but just know that whatever you do to me, I’m going to do something worse back to you,” said Rodgers, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.

Rodgers is clearly finding some innovative ways to create a relaxed atmosphere in Pittsburgh ahead of their new season, which begins in just over one month. The Steelers have had a busy offseason, reuniting Rodgers with his former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, who took over for Mike Tomlin at the conclusion of last season.

Pittsburgh is looking for ways to get out of their current cycle of mediocrity, which has included a frustrating cycle of hot starts, underwhelming finishes, and then getting blasted in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs, which was exactly what happened last year when the Steelers were smoked by the Houston Texans.

Rodgers ultimately decided that he didn’t want that game’s late pick-six to be his final image on an NFL field, so he is back for another season this year, hoping to end his legendary career on a better note.

The Steelers will kick off their new season on September 13 vs the Atlanta Falcons at home.
