Knicks fans calling on Anne Hathaway to heal OG Anunoby from injury before Game 3

Fans are still wondering about OG Anunoby’s injury status for Game 3, but they are also calling on New York Knicks superfan Anne Hathaway to work her magic.

Anne Hathaway’s shoutout did wonders for the Knicks’ OG Anunoby

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Hathaway revealed that she nearly wore Anunoby’s jersey before the game later that night.

In the two games following Hathaway’s shoutout, Anunoby went on a tear. He averaged 23.5 points per game and had a +/- of +64 in that stretch. He also made 18 of his 22 shots, including going 6-8 from beyond the three-point line.

Anunoby then scored 24 points in the next game, making nine of his 17 shots. While not as efficient as the last two games, Anunoby was still a big part of the offense.

However, late in the game, he appeared to tweak something. Anunoby checked out of the game and was later diagnosed with a right hamstring strain.

The Knicks head to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers in Game 3 of their series. New York is up 2-0 in the series, and they have a chance to put Philadelphia on the ropes with another win.

They won the first game of the series by 39 points. The Knicks earned their fourth blowout win in a row, hot off beating the Atlanta Hawks by 51 points in Game 6 of that series. They won the second game by six points, just surviving the Sixers’ surge.

Still, the 76ers are gritty, as evidenced by their 3-1 comeback in their last series against the Boston Celtics. However, they were without Joel Embiid for Game 2. He is once again questionable for Game 3 between the teams.
