Josh Allen calls wife Hailee Steinfeld ‘rockstar’ after birth of baby girl

Josh Allen is giving his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, all the praise after welcoming their baby girl.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback and Oscar-nominated actress welcomed their first child together earlier this month and Allen gave his “rockstar” wife a shoutout at a recent press conference.

“It definitely changes [your] mindset a little bit,” Allen told reporters during a press conference on April 20 about becoming a father. “I’m very excited. I do think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects—in my professional career and my personal life. It’s such a blessing.”

“I’ve got an absolute rockstar of a wife,” Allen continued, “that’s doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates. So yes, special times.”

Steinfeld shared on her newsletter, Beau Society, earlier this month that the two have welcomed their first child together.
“We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes,” they wrote signing, “Love, Hailee and Josh.”

Prior to the birth of their baby girl, Allen shared his excitement for fatherhood.

“I’m very much looking forward to that, with my wife, of becoming a dad,” he told 13WHAM during a Bills press conference. “It’s something that I will take with great pride.”

Steinfeld recently shared about how she is decorating the nursery, adding that it is “bright and airy and comfortable,” and “inviting.”

“I have been going back and forth on so many details—more than I care to admit,” she shared with Architectural Digest about the nursery, “but it really has been such a fun part about getting ready for this new season of life.”

The Pitch Perfect actress added that it’s somewhere “you could spend hours in and not get tired of.”

The couple announced that they were expecting in December 2025 with a candid video of the two on social media.
