Hurricanes’ Brandon Bussi gets real on 1st playoff start in Game 4 vs. VGK
The Carolina Hurricanes recovered from a crushing Game 3 loss in the Stanley Cup Final in admirable fashion on Tuesday night. The Canes evened the series against the Vegas Golden Knights with a rock-solid 5-3 win on the road in Game 4 to send the series back to Vegas tied at two.
Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour made a bold choice before Game 4, opting to rest goaltender Frederik Andersen in favor of Brandon Bussi. Bussi entered the game at the end of Game 3 with the Canes down 4-0 and assisted in their comeback to force overtime.
After getting a win in his first-career playoff start on Tuesday night, Bussi had a wholesome moment reacting to the game.

“This is what a lot of kids grow up, they dream about doing something like this,” Bussi said. “Honored to have the opportunity, it was a great effort by us tonight. Excited to get back to Raleigh.”
