Borussia Dortmund to beat Villarreal @ 8/11

Borussia Dortmund beat Villarreal 4-0 in last season’s League Phase, and they can get their European campaign off to a winning start this week.

Dortmund have won two from two in the Bundesliga this term, and they host a Villarreal side that lost seven of eight matches in Europe last term.

The Spanish outfit have made a poor start domestically, picking up only two points from their first four matches. They started the campaign with a 2-2 draw against newly-promoted Racing Santander, while they head into matchday one in Europe on the back of consecutive defeats. 

Dortmund won three of their five home matches in Europe last season, and they are well priced to see off a Villarreal side that is struggling to adjust following manager Marcelino’s departure at the end of last season.

Manchester City to win to nil and Erling Haaland to score anytime vs Porto @ 21/5

Manchester City looked shaky in their loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield, but they’ve been tightening up at the back since.

Enzo Maresca’s side beat Coventry 1-0 on Saturday, while it took a spectacular free-kick for Crystal Palace to get on the scoresheet against them. 

Even in their league opener, City conceded just 0.65 Expected Goals in their 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

Porto are looking a little lightweight in attack as they return to the Champions League, and they could struggle to break through City.

The same can’t be said for the Citizens, with Erling Haaland scoring three goals across his last two games.

The forward netted eight times in 10 Champions League outings for City last term, so pair him to score anytime with a win to nil for a 21/5 double.

Dortmund to beat Villarreal, Man City to beat FC Porto, West Ham to beat Bolton, BTTS in Millwall vs Newcastle @ 7/1

Manchester City can continue their strong start under Maresca with victory in Porto. The Portuguese champions are back in the Champions League for the first time since 2023/24, and they look short of the required quality to hold City at bay.

In the Championship, West Ham are up and running after back-to-back victories. They’ve put a combined seven goals past Wolves and Derby over the last week and can see off Bolton next.

The Trotters have lost three straight league games, the latest of which was a 4-0 hammering at Millwall.

The Lions, meanwhile, are in EFL Cup action on Tuesday, as they host a high-scoring Newcastle side.

The Magpies have looked bright under Matthias Jaissle, but they’ve conceded twice in three of their first four matches. 

After seeing off second-tier West Brom 3-2 in the last round, back both teams to score when they visit the Lions.
