How Olympic bronze medalist Ilona Maher humbled Giants’ Jaxson Dart at Skattebo’s party

While he is a hero in the Big Apple, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart was not recognized by former Olympic bronze medalist Ilona Maher at a Super Bowl party.

Maher recently recalled her first time meeting Dart at a party thrown by running back Cam Skattebo. She didn’t know him, and he had to explain who he was.

“There’s this one guy, he’s like blonde, he’s [an] attractive guy, young looking,” Maher recalled. “I’m like, ‘Hey, what’s up, man?’ He’s like, ‘Hey.'”

She then asked if he played football, and he had an awkward response. Maher asked what team he played for as he wore a Giants jacket.

Dart then revealed that he was the quarterback, arguably the most important position on the field. Maher’s friend, whom she took to the party, did the same thing to another quarterback on the Giants, Jameis Winston, asking him, “Do you know ball?”

Who is Giants QB, Jaxson Dart?

Dart is heading into his second season with the Giants. Maher may not have known who he was, but he became a star in New York during his rookie season.

He was drafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Giants out of Ole Miss. While he started the season on the bench, Dart took the reins as the starting quarterback in Week 4.

The Giants only won four games in 2025, but Dart won all of them. He missed some time with a concussion, but he finished the year with 2,272 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Dart also rushed for 487 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

Heading into year two, Dart will get Malik Nabers back, who suffered a torn ACL in Dart’s first start in Week 4. He will also be getting Skattebo back after he suffered an ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8.
