Joe Burrow bringing ‘now or never’ mentalty to 2026 season
Time is of the essence when it comes to Joe Burrow. The Cincinnati Bengals QB is embracing a now-or-never mentality heading into this season.
In other words, Burrow says the time to win it all is more urgent than ever.
On Friday, the Bengals squared off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. While he wasn’t playing, Burrow spoke about the urgency he feels to win, per CBS Sports.
“I try to treat every day like it’s now or never,” Burrow said. “Trying to treat every day like it’s my last”.

Burrow has been with the Bengals for six years and is entering his 7th season. Since then, Burrow has earned several accolades as a QB. He is a two-time NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2021, 2024). Additionally, Burrow was selected to three Pro Bowls (2022, 2024, and 2025).
In 2022, Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1989. Ultimately, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Bengals 23-20.
In 2024, Burrow led the NFL with 4,918 passing yards.
Last year, Burrow threw for 1,809 yards with 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. However, the Bengals finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the third straight season.
Going into his 7th season, Burrow is tired of having to wait for his turn. He is adamant about doing whatever it takes to achieve the ultimate prize. He is also looking to etch his place among elite quarterbacks who have won Super Bowls.
The Bengals will begin the regular season on Sept. 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
