Giants place Harrison Bader on IL before Rockies clash
For the second time during the 2026 MLB season, the San Francisco Giants will be without Harrison Bader, who is returning to IL with left plantar fasciitis.
After playing on Friday night for the Giants in their first game against the Colorado Rockies, it was notable that Bader wasn’t in the lineup for San Francisco’s Saturday showdown, but some believed it might be because the Rockies were set to start Ryan Feltner, a right-handed pitcher. Instead, the Giants have announced that Bader is heading back to the IL with left plantar fasciitis, which will hold him out for at least the next 10 days.
“The San Francisco Giants made the following roster moves today: OF Harrison Bader placed on the 10-day Injured List with left plantar fasciitis. OF Will Brennan (#7) recalled from Triple-A Sacramento,” the Giants shared.
