Giants OT downplays locker room division after Jaxson Dart introduced Donald Trump
After New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump on Friday at a rally, the football world has been reacting to the event, including teammate Abdul Carter. As Carter called out his fellow Giants 2025 NFL Draft pick for associating himself with Trump, there are some who believe that the locker room is now divided, though one player has shut down those notions.
It all started with Carter taking to X, formerly Twitter, to give his thoughts on Dart introducing Trump at an event, leading to the defensive end initially thinking that the video was “AI” or made by artificial intelligence.
“Thought this s*** was AI, what we doing man,” Carter wrote on X.

Carter’s reaction to Dart showing support for the controversial president spread like wildfire, leading to many reactions, including New England Patriots reporter Ben Volin saying that the locker room has now been divided. This led to New York offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor pouring water over that claim.
“Locker Room is fine. Focus on New England,” Eluemunor wrote on X.
Another reaction came from Giants beat writer Pat Leonard, posting a worried face emoji, but Eluemunor would once again shut down any thinking of the situation being dire.
“Relax Pat,” Eluemunor wrote on X.
Giants’ Jaxson Dart shares gratitude for introducing Donald Trump
There’s no denying that Eluemunor’s valiant effort to calm down the conversation will probably fail due to the nature of polarizing opinions. Dart’s introduction of Trump included him saying how he is “honored” to do so.
“Big Blue nation, it’s a pleasure to be here,” Dart said, after chanting “Go, Big Blue!” chant. “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here and, without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”
At any rate, it remains to be seen if Dart’s actions lead to others speaking out as Carter had done, and if it impacts New York’s 2026 season, as the team looks to improve after finishing with a 4-13 record, last in the division.
