Giants’ OL calls out ‘BS Narrative’ after Cam Skattebo incident

Earlier on Wednesday, Giants writer/reporter Pat Leonard tweeted out that Cam Skattebo was at the center of attention when he caused a near-fight during practice. Leonard also stated that the Giants defenders were “sick of his BS” about what happened.

Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor quickly said that wasn’t the case.

“Stop trying to create a BS Narrative,” Eluemunor said on X with the “cap” emoji.

So, after all, it seemed as if the defense may have been showing signs of frustration in another area. However, Skattebo did get a 15-yard penalty at the end of practice that head coach John Harbaugh was not happy about.

“He got a 15-yard penalty at the end of practice. Did you see that? Yeah it’s infectious. It can be infectious the other way, an infectious disease type of thing. We want it to be in a positive way.”

The hope is that the emotions from practice are left behind them and it doesn’t cause any further drama. Skattebo means too much to the team for this unnecessary drama to surface again.

This doesn’t mean that Skattebo can’t piss off opposing defenders during games. That is what he does best when he blasts through them for extra gains.

The Giants and New York Jets meet this weekend as they always do for preseason action. All games will finish on Saturday, and then it will be time for coaches and staff to figure out the 53-man rosters. Stay tuned for what the Giants do in about a week’s time.
