Dodgers’ Max Muncy sends urgent reminder after brutal loss to Giants
The Los Angeles Dodgers have struggled a bit in recent weeks. That struggle continued on Monday, as L.A. dropped yet another game. The Dodgers lost to the San Francisco Giants by a 9-3 score.
Following the contest, L.A. star Max Muncy sent a message to his club.
“We’re back-to-back champions for a reason. We find ways to get out of this. It looks bleak right now, but it is still early May. We still have a long season to go,” Muncy said, per SportsNet LA.

Muncy hit his 11th home run of the season on Monday night. He also posted two RBIs. The game also marked the return of Mookie Betts, who has been battling an oblique strain that sent him to the injured list.
Despite Betts’ return, Los Angeles got smacked around on Monday. The Dodgers fell to 24-17 on the season. Los Angeles has also now fallen to second in the National League West, behind the San Diego Padres.
“We’re in a funk right now….we are creating situations where we can have good things happen, we just aren’t getting a hit here or there,” Muncy added.
Muncy said the objective right now is for the team to not dwell on the recent losses. The Dodgers have now lost three in a row and six of their last 10 contests.
“We have to keep going and we have to keep staying positive. It’s easy to dwell on the negative, but for us you have to keep moving forward and keep showing up,” Muncy added.
The Dodgers play the Giants again on Tuesday night.
