Delonte West reveals 76ers’ LeBron James and family still have his back
Former NBA guard Delonte West has been one of the few NBA stories that saw its whole world turn around. But despite his personal struggles, he recently revealed that his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, LeBron James, and his family still check on him and give him motivation.
Speaking recently on Kick streamer N3on’s livestream, West shared how the James family still makes him feel belonged.
“A lot of those guys that I play with, LeBron, he’s my ‘him’, and you know his family…called my mom all the time to make sure I’m okay,” West said during the stream. “Miss Gloria (Gloria Marie James, LeBron’s mother). She called my mom; she’s still the same. You know, (she used to say) ‘Tell my son. I seen him; you better get it together, don’t make me come take on’,”

The story unfolded when the N3on linked up with West and helped him get back on his feet. He recently gifted him a full-blown streaming setup, computers, and even a verified Kick account. The streamer also told West that he could start making money off his online streaming the moment he starts his first livestream.
Additionally, N3on also took him to an indoor practice court where West almost cooked the streamer. In a passionate video shared on social media, N3on could be seen venting his frustration after being dominated by the former NBA star.
However, the former NBA player couldn’t have asked for more, and he was visibly touched by the gesture. Apart from the latest linkup, there have been multiple videos on social media where he could be seen on the streets. If anything, he has been through a lot.
After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008, he faced struggles while playing through intense moments. Only a year after the diagnosis, he had a few run-ins with the police, leading to his arrest for possessing firearms.
Though he enrolled in recovery a couple of times, but couldnt’ quite get back to his earlier charm. At one point in time, former Dallas Mavericks majority owner Mark Cuban attempted to help him.
But now that he’s doing better and getting the help that can help him turn his life around, NBA fans could not be happier for him.
