At some point, he sent a message to me, and I went, ‘I get it now.’ This is how it works. This is how he does it, and it’s impressive,” the Cubs manager said, via Marquee Sports Network.

Bregman now has 23 home runs on the season following this game against the Brewers. It’s been a successful debut season in Chicago for the veteran infielder, as well. He has helped the Cubs push for postseason baseball and establish themselves as a potential World Series contender.

The Cubs needed this win over the Brewers, and they made a statement on Monday. However, this season is not done just yet. The calendar is flipping to September, and that means these games become increasingly important. The Cubs continue their series with the Brewers on Tuesday night in Chicago at Wrigley Field.
