Tottenham agree loan move with Chelsea for Mykhailo Mudryk with option to buy for huge £75m fee

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Chelsea over the loan signing of Mykhailo Mudryk, talkSPORT understands.

The transfer will also include an option to make the winger’s stay permanent at the end of the season for £75million.

Mudryk’s Chelsea contract expires in 2031 having signed an eight-and-a-half year contract when joining from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023.

Spurs are trying to strengthen the wide attacking areas and have seen a few deals fall through, sparking a late shock move for Ukrainian winger Mudryk.

The 25-year-old is back from his doping ban after all charges were dropped against him earlier this summer.

However, he is yet to play a single minute of first-team football for the Blues since returning.

Xabi Alonso hasn’t involved him in the Premier League or Carabao Cup so far, and Spurs are looking to reunite him with Roberto De Zerbi.

The duo worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk with Spurs also agreeing a deal with Chelsea to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a permanent basis.

Mudryk has been the subject of interest from Sunderland, Leeds United and Coventry City.

Scrambling

It has been a dramatic 24 hours in the transfer market for Tottenham.

Spurs agreed a deal with Everton to sign Iliman Ndiaye with Richarlison heading back to the Toffees in a separate deal.

But in a shock twist, Manchester City came back in for Ndiaye to wrap up a move due to Liverpool calling off a deal for Cody Gakpo to go to Manchester City.

Spurs had been keen on the Dutchman too but he favoured a move to the Etihad Stadium in the event of him leaving Liverpool.

However, the Reds haven’t been able to find a replacement, with moves for Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr stalling.

And this means City turned attentions to Ndiaye and are understood to have completed the signing of him.

Enzo Maresca has been interested in the Senegalese international for some time, but they cooled their interest to focus on Gakpo.

But with Gakpo off the table, City went back in for Ndiaye with Jack Grealish potentially going the other way.

talkSPORT understands that Grealish would prefer a move to Everton over any other club this summer as well.

Further complicating Spurs’ deal for Ndiaye to join Spurs was Richarlison.

What has Richarlison done?

The Brazilian international was set to return to Everton, but in a bombshell series of Instagram stories, he appeared to suggest that he is staying put.

This comes despite him asking Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi to leave.

But he hit out at Spurs and suggested that he was being forced to leave not on his own terms despite wanting to return the Toffees.

The stories were in Portuguese, but they have been translated as follows.

“After everything I’ve been through in recent years, I decided that they would never again decide my future for me,” he wrote.

“I’ve been through a lot of bad things these days and almost all of them happened because of decisions made by other people.

“Pressure, threats, retaliations, none of this scares me. I’ve been through worse things… believe me!

“I have always made it clear, at every opportunity, that an exit of mine to another place would also have to be good for the club.

“If it wasn’t, I would never accept… as I didn’t accept when everything here was falling apart and they needed me.

“I stayed and gave my life. So, I hope you treat my situation with the same respect that I always had for Spurs and for all the people who worked with me during this period. Just don’t want to decide for me.

“If they enter into an agreement between Spurs and Everton, I go back to my favourite team.

“My intention was to return to the place where I was very happy. But the negotiations were the way people wanted and it won’t be like this anymore.

“Despite this riot, I have a contract with Spurs and I will be at the club’s disposal.”
