Chiefs go back to 90s Rob Riggle in 2026 schedule reveal

The Kansas City Chiefs are feeling nostalgic, and after a rare losing season in 2025, looking back at a more dominant era might be exactly what the doctor ordered. To unveil their 2026 schedule, the franchise dropped a high-energy video starring legendary super-fan and actor Rob Riggle. The theme? A pitch-perfect, neon-soaked ’90s home shopping show.

In the reveal, Rob Riggle and his co-host, “Gayle,” sell various wacky products that serve as clues for their 2026 opponents. The video features a real interactive phone number as an “Easter egg” that fans can call to hear a hidden message, a move A to Z Sports called “taking the release to the next level.” While critics at Fox News suggested the social team might have “jumped the shark” with the absurdist humor, the Kansas City faithful seem to be embracing the chaos.

Of course, Riggle didn’t miss the chance to throw some vintage shade. He aimed several barbs at the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos, likely looking for some payback after a rough 2025 campaign. Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs struggled to a 6-11 record, missing the postseason and leaving fans in shock.

The Denver Broncos, in particular, haunted the Chiefs last fall. According to the box score from their Week 11 matchup on Nov. 16, 2025, the Broncos edged out the Chiefs in a 22-19 heartbreaker. Patrick Mahomes went 29-of-45 for 276 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Travis Kelce remained a bright spot, hauling in nine receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, but the offense stalled late. Wil Lutz crushed the Chiefs’ hopes by nailing a 35-yard field goal as time expired to secure the Denver win.

With the 2026 schedule now official, head coach Andy Reid is looking to prove that the “Chiefs Kingdom” hasn’t fallen. If Patrick Mahomes can regain his MVP form, this ’90s throwback might be the start of a very modern comeback.
