C.C. Sabathia is keeping the faith in Yankees despite Aaron Judge injury

The New York Yankees received news that Aaron Judge will be out indefinitely due to a rib injury, a fracture in his right side. Judge missed the Yankees’ 9-4 loss to the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday, and the star slugger has now missed New York’s past three games. Now, the good news is that the Yankees avoided a sweep against the Guardians, pulling out a 2-1 victory on Thursday.

But it’s obvious that Judge is going to be a huge loss for this Yankees lineup. They struggled to score on Thursday, and Judge’s mere presence already becomes a threat to the opposition, forcing pitchers to throw differently towards the New York lineup.

Nonetheless, even with Judge on the sidelines, former Yankees ace CC Sabathia remains an ardent believer in the team and he is looking forward to seeing the character of this squad as they deal with the absence of their best hitter.

“We’re gonna learn a lot about this Yankees team in the next month. I got full faith ,” Sabathia wrote on his official account on X (formerly Twitter).

The Yankees are battling for AL East supremacy against the Tampa Bay Rays, and at present, they are just a half-game back of them in the win-loss column. Judge is without a doubt a huge loss, but this only opens up the chance for the rest of the team’s hitters to step up.

The Yankees’ offense will be tested, especially with Judge now joining Giancarlo Stanton and Jasson Dominguez, among others, on the mend.

Cody Bellinger already proclaimed that the Yankees will be trying their best to hold down the fort. The likes of Ben Rice and Paul Goldschmidt have been very productive for New York as well. But someone like Jazz Chisholm Jr. has to come alive as they approach the uncertainty that comes with Judge’s injury.
