Could Bronny Really Become LeBron’s Kryptonite?

Simmons admitted that he would struggle to humiliate his own son before 20,000 spectators on national television. That emotional wrinkle makes the concept fascinating, even if Cleveland never seriously considers it.

LeBron would face two choices in Simmons’ hypothetical scenario. He could attack Bronny without mercy and bury the theory immediately, or avoid the matchup by handing Jaylen Brown control of the possession. Philadelphia would certainly prefer the first option over watching sentiment interfere with a playoff series.

The pitch also fits Simmons’ history of imaginative LeBron proposals. He previously suggested that James spend his final season signing with every NBA team, allowing the entire league to participate in his farewell tour.
