Alek Thomas traded to Dodgers after being DFA’d by Diamondbacks
The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly acquiring outfielder Alek Thomas, who was recently designated for assignment by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Alden Gonzalez of ESPN reports that Arizona is returning outfield prospect Jose Requena in return. The Diamondbacks surprisingly made the move while promoting top prospect Ryan Waldschmidt. Thomas had been an everyday outfielder in Arizona before the Diamondbacks moved one.
