Yankees manager Aaron Boone has major needle-moving hopes after win over Mariners

The Yankees improved to 67-52 with the victory, moving 15 games above .500. New York remained 5.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East while strengthening its hold on the AL’s top wild-card position.

Injuries have increased pressure on the Yankees’ lineup, but Tuesday’s four-run seventh-inning rally offered the type of encouraging response Boone hopes can spark more consistent production.
