Annemarie Wiley responds to Marcellus Wiley domestic violence charges dropped

Marcellus Wiley’s estranged wife, Annemarie Wiley, was allegedly blindsided by the domestic violence charge being dropped.

The former NFL player will reportedly no longer face a criminal charge over an alleged domestic violence incident involving Annemarie, according to TMZ. The outlet reports that Florida authorities said they were not going to pursue charges against Marcellus, but Annemarie claims she was not notified, leaving her allegedly blindsided by the decision.

The outlet obtained court documents in the case where prosecutors in Orange County, Florida, told the court they will not be filing charges because “testimonial evidence received is not corroborated by any physical or other evidence and is therefore insufficient to obtain a conviction.”

On the other hand, Marcellus shared his response to the charges being dropped: “The illusion is OVER,” he began his post on X, “No more BS. No more deception. Just FACTS & EVIDENCE. The State of Florida declined to file charges & Dismissed the Case!”

He added, “If the State found her allegations UNCORROBORATED by any physical or other evidence, and my own daughter says she wasn’t telling the truth, then the question is unavoidable: Why should ANYTHING ELSE she alleges be believed? (It shouldn’t).”

Marcellus added, “Don’t let ONE MONTH of allegations erase 14 YEARS of reality.”

He continued, adding a jab at his ex, “Welcome to the Real HouseLies of Annemarie.”

“Believe real victims. Protect real victims. But remember: FALSE ALLEGATIONS HAVE REAL VICTIMS TOO. My name and character were attacked publicly. I’ll defend them publicly—with the TRUTH. LIES run sprints. TRUTH runs marathons,” before adding the hashtag, “#MenToo”

Marcellus was taken into custody on July 4 for domestic battery, according to NBC, and was released after posting 1,000 bail.

Two days after the alleged incident, Annemarie filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage.
