WWE stars rally around Cody Rhodes after tragic death of dog Pharaoh

In a tragic announcement, former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes‘ dog, Pharaoh, died, as he revealed in a heartbreaking social media post, causing several Superstars to react.

The “American Nightmare” took to Instagram to reveal the news. Rhodes posted various pictures of his late dog, including some with his daughters.

Clearly, Pharaoh was important to the Rhodes clan, and he will not be forgotten anytime soon. His lengthy caption proves the dog’s importance. He was there through thick and thin.

“Huskies need a job. P howled at the moon,” Rhodes wrote in the caption of his post. “When we thought he would be afraid of the older dogs we had, [he] instead ran into the living room and belly [flopped] on them. He patrolled the pool. He always tore up a plant when a stranger came into the backyard to let them know – ‘I’m crazy’ – and don’t come closer.

Rhodes then explained that he called Pharaoh a “crisis dog,” always there on the scene, saying, “He was always with us, and when my world got turned upside down…he sat outside with me looking at the Texas stars until the sky started to shift and he pressed his head against me firmly in a way that let me know he understood.”

Several WWE Superstars. commented on the “American Nightmare’s” post. CM Punk, who lost his dog Larry in 2025, was heartbroken, writing, ‘My heart. I’m sorry.”

Stephanie Vaquer also chimed in, saying, “I’m sorry for your loss,” while The Miz responded, “I’m so sorry man. May he rest in peace.”

Some Superstars, like Johnny Gargano and Blake Monroe, just responded with red heart emojis. Brie Bella said, “I’m so sorry!!! Sending love,” and former WWE talent Renee Paquette wrote, “Ah man. I’m so sorry.”
