WWE star Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker recieves major legal update

WWE Superstars are often recognized and surrounded by fans in public. However, while some fan experiences are delightful, others? Not so much. WWE Superstar Liv Morgan once came face-to-face with such trouble when she was stalked by one of her admirers from Canada.

In 2025, Morgan found herself in a stalking situation with an individual who visited her house. Soon after, the WWE contacted the FBI and helped Morgan escape that unfortunate scenario.

Now, almost a year later, a major update has emerged on Morgan’s stalker case. The man who stalked Liv Morgan, aka Gionna Daddio, has ended with him being found not guilty by reason of insanity.

In a report by Post Wrestling, a U.S. judge in the Middle District of Florida ruled on Monday that Shawn Chan [Liv Morgan’s stalker], who was arrested outside of the WWE Performance Center in Jun. 2025, had reportedly been found not guilty by reason of insanity. He is set to be released into ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) custody.

Later, PWInsider also shared an update on the serious situation. PWInsider’s update shared a detailed record of what might happen to Shawn Chan following the verdict from the judge.

“Since there seems to be confusion about this, a clarification on Shawn Chan, who was found guilty* (as written by PWInsider at time of publication, likely meant to reader not guilty) by reason of insanity of the charge related to Chan allegedly stalking Liv Morgan. While he was found not guilty, Chan remains incarcerated in Hernando County, Florida. Chan will not be released as he is a Canadian citizen. The Judge presiding over the case has ordered United States Marshals facilitate Chan be transferred into ICE Custody,” PWInsider’s reported wrote. It was also mentioned that Chan is expected to be deported back to Canada.
