Why Champions League final and World Cup will impact Arsenal’s trophy parade plus date and route
Arsenal have confirmed a parade will be held this month to celebrate their Premier League title triumph.
The Gunners were crowned champions for the first time in 22 years on Tuesday night.

Manchester City’s draw with Bournemouth confirmed Mikel Arteta’s side as Premier League winners.
The club could still add a first-ever Champions League trophy to their historic campaign.
Arsenal face Paris Saint-Germain in the final at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30.
Both that match and the upcoming World Cup in North America have impacted their plans for a trophy parade.
Arsenal trophy parade: Date and route
Arsenal have announced plans for a parade to mark their Premier League title victory.
The celebrations will be held on Sunday, May 31, with the parade set to begin at 2pm.
It comes just a day after the Champions League final against PSG in Hungary.
The parade will follow a route through Islington, the London borough in which Arsenal and the Emirates Stadium are located.
In a statement, the club said: “We are delighted to announce that we will come together with our supporters and community for a special parade around our home borough of Islington, starting from 2pm on Sunday, 31 May, to celebrate our title.”
Although the final route through Islington is yet to be confirmed, previous plans saw the parade start and end at the Emirates Stadium.

It would also pass through Drayton Park, Aubert Park, Highbury Grove, St. Paul’s Road and Upper Street, allowing fans to cheer on the players as they lined the streets.
Players selected for the World Cup will be released by Arsenal to join their national teams on Monday, June 1.
As a result, May 31 was left as the only available date following the Champions League final.
So far, five Arsenal players have been called up by their national teams for the tournament.
However, several nations are still yet name their final 26-man squads for the tournament, including England.
Thomas Tuchel’s Three Lions squad will be confirmed on Friday, May 22 with immediate reaction on talkSPORT.

The Gunners will lift the Premier League trophy after their final fixture of the season on Sunday, May 24.
Arteta takes his side to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace, with kick-off at 4pm.
