Brewers’ Logan Henderson gets real on growing alongside Kyle Harrison

With the Milwaukee Brewers having a great season so far, led by an exciting starting rotation, the impressiveness of the group goes far beyond that of star Jacob Misiorowski. While Misiorowski leads the Brewers’ rotation, there are also standout pitchers Logan Henderson and Kyle Harrison.

In his official first rookie campaign with Milwaukee, Henderson has been productive, recording a 2.70 ERA to go along with 75 strikeouts and a 7-2 record in 12 starts. He would speak on the MLB Network about the camaraderie with the rest of the starting pitchers, especially with fellow young up-and-coming star Kyle Harrison.

“Yeah, I mean, I think we all work really hard, and we’re doing everything we can in between starts to get ready for the start, and we’re trying to get better,” Henderson said. “So, a lot of dialogue about how we can get better, and we’re always competing with each other, so yeah, it’s been a really good vibe.”

Looking at Harrison’s season, the 25-year-old has recorded a 2.99 ERA with 114 strikeouts and a 9-3 record in 19 starts; as with his and Henderson’s numbers, there are most teams in the league that wish their rotation had this much young depth.

Not to mention that the rotation is headlined by the sensation in Misiorowski, who is on the way to his first NL Cy Young Award, pitching an MLB-best 1.75 ERA and 0.75 WHIP, to go along with a league-best 210 strikeouts, plus a 12-5 record in 23 starts. At any rate, Milwaukee and its starting rotation look to close out the season with a bang, as Harrison gets the start on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners.
