Who are Super Bowl LX announcers and why isn’t $375m Tom Brady calling biggest game of year?

The NFL playoffs are upon us, and Super Bowl LX is just weeks away.

This year’s showpiece event, between the champions of the AFC and NFC, will be played on February 8, 2026.

Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California — home of the San Francisco 49ers — is set to host Super Bowl LX.

Around 68,000 NFL fans will fill the stands for the big game, and millions more will be watching the action unfold from home.

Last year, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy, in a Fox broadcast that pulled in 127.7 million viewers.

Tom Brady, one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all-time, was in the booth alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt in New Orleans.

In 2026, NBC has the honor of broadcasting the Super Bowl to the US audience, and that means fans will hear different voices on the broadcast this time around.

Who are the Super Bowl LX announcers?

Mike Tirico, NBC’s lead play-by-play announcer, will call the game from Levi’s Stadium.

He will likely be joined in the booth by his regular Sunday Night Football partner, Cris Collinsworth.

Collinsworth, who is the winner of 17 Sports Emmy Awards, serves as the network’s lead game analyst.

Sideline reporter Melissa Stark, and rules analyst Terry McAulay have not been confirmed for the Super Bowl broadcast, but will likely be involved in their regular roles.

Tirico is the only name officially announced by NBC so far, and he will be a very busy man on February 8.

Mike Tirico set for historic double duty at Super Bowl

He will call Super Bowl LX from Levi’s Stadium, in what is his first-ever play-by-play assignment for the game after replacing Al Michaels as lead announcer in 2022.

Then, following the presentation of the Lombardi Trophy, Tirico will turn his attention to the Winter Olympics.

NBC is also carrying the rights to the Games in Milan, which begin two days before the Super Bowl.

Tirico will host Primetime in Milan — the network’s flagship Olympics coverage — from the field at Levi’s Stadium.

With his dual roles on February 8, Tirico will make history and become the first US broadcaster to call the Super Bowl and host a Winter Games in the same year.

When will Tom Brady next call the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl broadcast is rotated between networks on a four-year cycle.

NBC, ABC/ESPN, CBS and Fox all take turns televising the big game.

Super Bowl LXI, which has been confirmed for February 14, 2027, will air on ABC/ESPN, with CBS taking Super Bowl LXII a year later.

The showpiece will then return to Fox, and their $375 million analyst Brady, in 2029.

NBC will broadcast Super Bowl LXIV once again in 2030, completing the cycle.
