Chelsea continue their pre-season fixtures this weekend as they take on European royalty AC Milan in Indonesia.

The Xabi Alonso era is in full flow now, with the Blues two games into their season’s preparations under their new boss after kicking things off in Australia.

The Blues began pre-season with a thrilling 6-4 win against Western Sydney Wanderers, before losing to London rivals Tottenham.

Having played their first two games Down Under, the Premier League giants now travel to Asia looking to bounce back, with their next test coming against Juventus in Hong Kong on Wednesday.

And another Italian heavyweight awaits just days later, as AC Milan look to give Chelsea another tough clash in Jakarta.

There will be a familiar face in the dugout for this one, with ex-Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim the Rossoneri’s new boss.

The Portuguese began pre-season with a 2-2 draw with Scottish champions Celtic, and has a derby clash up next, as his side face city rivals Inter Milan in Perth, Australia on Wednesday.

Where to watch Chelsea vs AC Milan

Chelsea will take on AC Milan on Saturday, August 8.

Kick-off at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Jakarta is set for 1pm BST.

Fans will be able to watch the action live on CFC+, which is Chelsea’s content service that allows supporters to watch exclusive content on their website and app.

To sign up for the service, it will cost £14.99 per year.

Chelsea vs AC Milan: Team news

While Chelsea are still waiting on some of their World Cup stars returning soon, they have welcomed six players into their group for the second leg of their pre-season tour.

After landing in Hong Kong ahead of the Juventus clash, goalkeepers Mike Penders and Gabriel Slolina have both linked up with the squad.

Geovany Quenda, who joined from Sporting for £40m, has also arrived, as well as Pedro Neto, following his World Cup campaign.

Danny Welbeck is among the joining stars, who has jetted out to Hong Kong fresh from his transfer from Brighton.

Mykhailo Mudryk is also back with the group after his ban for breaching anti-doping rules was resolved, although it is unclear what role he will play in the Blues tour of Asia

Other new signings Valentin Barco and Jordan Henderson are still on holiday after reaching the final weekend at the World Cup.

Chelsea vs AC Milan: What has been said?

Xabi Alonso has revealed Mykhailo Mudryk could be involved immediately in Chelsea’s upcoming pre-season games in Asia.

As mentioned, the Ukraine winger has joined the Blues pre-season tour after resolving his doping case with the Football Association (FA).

And while Mudryk has not played a match since being banned in November 2024, Alonso admitted the 25-year-old could play an immediate role in his side’s next pre-season clash against Juventus.

The Spaniard said: “We are thrilled Misha could be with us. You could see his smile, the great feeling for him to be back.

“Fitness level, we will see. He has been working hard. Now it’s about trying to do things with his teammates.
