Places often and does get the odd win but this six-year-old, set to be ridden by Oisin Murphy this afternoon is a great flat runner and really stands out in this Class 5 handicap.

He finished third behind Grey Horizon last time out with a 7lb claimer on board, before that he was a fairly close fifth over course and distance.

This horse has often been around this rating the last couple of years, even as high as 85 in June 2023 but needed to come down to 61 to rattle off two wins in May 2025 and then needing to drop down to 67 to win again at Salisbury in May 2026.

He’s back down to 70 today on a familiar track, Murphy on board and ought to put in a solid performance again.

Perfect Nation

Avionics had the weight advantage last time out over 7f but couldn’t get ahead when 12/1, coming second by over three lengths.

He’s got plenty of weight to catch up with Perfect Nation but I fear the favourite is just better than that after winning stepped up to 7f for the first time at Lingfield last month.
