Tottenham tipped to sign Savinho and ‘vanilla bomba’ to conclude summer transfer haul
Tottenham Hotspur have been tipped to wrap up their bust summer transfer window with two further attacking additions.
This was suggested on Inside Spurs, with the panel hesitant about whether Roberto De Zerbi’s ‘bomba’ signing will be as exciting as first billed.

Spurs have been incredibly active in the transfer market following their brush with relegation last season.
The north London side finished two points clear of the bottom three and only secured their top-flight safety on the final day of the campaign.
As such, Spurs have strengthened at the back and in midfield, including twice breaking their club-record transfer to initially sign Mateus Fernandes and then Sandro Tonali from West Ham and Newcastle, respectively.
Attention now turns to the attack, and De Zerbi hinted that a ‘bomba’ was imminent during the club’s pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia.
The Italian clarified his comments, but supporters still believe that a ‘bomba’ will be dropped before long.
Who is Spurs’ next ‘bomba’ going to be?
And Snelling expects two more attacking players to come in before the transfer window closes next month, though one of the proposed additions hardly sets the pulses racing.
On the latest episode of Inside Spurs, Majestic enquired about the mystery ‘bomba’ and posed the question: “Who do you think it is?”
To which Snelling replied: “Well, this is the thing. Everyone’s saying: ‘Will it be Savinho?’
“But to me, a ‘bomba’ is something that comes out of nowhere. Like a shock. Like: ‘Oh my god, who is this!?’
“To me, it probably will be Cody Gakpo. I feel like that is the one.

“I can’t see Spurs going all out and getting some world-class player at this stage.
“I feel like they’ll get Savinho and Gakpo, and that will be all of the business done.”
‘It’s a vanilla ‘bomba’
Snelling, though, believes Spurs should avoid signing both forwards, continuing: “Personally, I would sign one of the two.
“I’m still undecided who I think of the two because they’re two completely different players.
“I’d say Gakpo is more of your like goalscorer if you want to call him that, and Savinho is more of a creative type.
“But to me, I’ve said it on here a few times, it would be one of them, then you sign a world-class striker.

“But the market’s tough for strikers and maybe this is what we have to do to just get by.”
Summers echoed Snelling’s sentiments, adding: “Neither set my world on fire in all honesty.”
“It’s a vanilla ‘bomba’, that’s what it is. Not a chocolate ‘bomba’,” Snelling said of Gakpo links.
“Yeah, it’s a light ‘bomba’,” Summers agreed.
