What Lakers’ LeBron James is doing as Spurs advance past Thunder to NBA Finals

The San Antonio Spurs were in a battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder for seven games, but they were able to reign supreme and advance to the NBA Finals. It was a long two weeks, and if you were a basketball fan, there’s no doubt that you were seated for most of the series, as it was some amazing basketball being played. Some basketball players were probably tuned in as well.

One player who didn’t seem to be locked in for LeBron James, and the proof is in the pudding. The Los Angeles Lakers’ star was posted on his Instagram story, and he went from being on a golf course to sailing on the water in a boat.

His story also includes a few clips of Jay Z’s performance during the Roots Picnic. It’s safe to say that James has been enjoying his offseason since the Lakers were eliminated in the second round by the Thunder.

James is probably having all the fun he can now, because in about a month, he’ll have to decide on his NBA future. He has several options, which include re-signing with the Lakers, signing with another team or retiring. As far as the Lakers’ option, it seems like James is waiting for them to make the first move, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

“LeBron has to work out his future with the Lakers first, before any other future happens,” Windhorst said. “From what I am told, the LeBron side is waiting for the Lakers to come to LeBron. They are not going to go to the Lakers and say ‘We would like a contract extension, please.’”

If James still wants to play and the Lakers don’t give him what he wants, then it looks like he’ll be heading toward playing somewhere else next season.
