US Open 2026 LIVE: Adjusted tee times, leaderboard, course info and how to follow
The 2026 US Open takes place at the incredible Shinnecock Hills Golf Club this week.
The third major of the year is upon us as the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy prepare to do battle once again.

Shinnecock, famous for its rolling green fairways, brown fescue hills and beautiful clubhouse, will provide one of the sternest tests possible.
Wyndham Clark, champion in LA in 2023, is the early leader on six-under-par with McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Jon Rahm and Ludvig Aberg all right in the mix.
Scheffler, who is chasing Grand Slam glory at Shinnecock, shot a two-over-par opening round and will need to be better in round two to stay in contention.

Field and tee times for 2026 US Open
The US Open has a full field of 156 players before the cut on Friday evening.
The latest leaderboard from Shinnecock can be found here.
Fog saw a two-hour delay on the opening day meaning a host of players could not finish their first rounds.
Those players – including overnight leader Clark – will conclude their opening rounds before facing a quick turnaround to start round two.
The second round will then begin 15 minutes later than originally planned to help space out the field.
There will be a two-tee start for the opening two rounds.

Course info for 2026 US Open
Shinnecock Hills was established in 1891 and designed by William Flynn before a Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw renovation in 2013.
The course is regularly ranked among the very best in the world and is also one of the toughest tests possible.
Links by nature, the 7,440 yard track includes rolling hills and heavy bunkering but also extra-wide fairways.
The landing zones may be forgiving but the brutal winds coming off Long Island’s Atlantic coastline can cause mayhem while Shinnecock also includes some of the most difficult greens in America.
The 159-yard par 3 11th, named Hill Head, will be one of the stars of the show.
The 1st hole, a 399 yard par 4 called Westward Ho, and the final hole, a 485 yard par 4 named Home, will also be brilliant to watch.
The course will be the exact same length as for the 2018 US Open and the fairways have actually be made wide to reflect Flynn’s original design.

What has been said about 2026 US Open
Spaun holed a stunning 65-foot birdie on the final hole to secure a two-shot win over Robert MacIntyre and claim his maiden major title last year.
The American was the only man to break par for the week at Oakmont.
He said: “I don’t think I did keep my composure with all the bad breaks I was getting [on the front nine]. I just tried to dig deep, hit some good shots.
“I never thought I would be here holding this trophy. I’ve obviously had aspirations and dreams but I never knew what my ceiling was, never knew how good I could be.
“I’m just proud I’ve been resilient in my career and have pushed through a lot of things.
“I’m just trying to be the best golfer I can be.”
