Tua Tagovailoa at Falcons practice with Bijan Robinson, Michael Penix Jr, but there’s a catch

The Atlanta Falcons have not started their quarterback battle at training camp just yet. Both Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. are not participating during the early days of Falcons training camp. But that has not stopped either player from getting a look at their teammates on the practice field.

Falcons stars Tagovailoa, Penix, and RB Bijan Robinson, were on the practice field on Thursday morning, per ESPN’s Marc Raimondi. However, their presence on the practice field does not mean that either player is fully back.

Tagovailoa is currently sidelined with a short-term injury. He did not participate in team drills on Thursday, but watched drills with Robinson and Penix from the sideline. Penix is still awaiting clearance from Atlanta’s medical team before he can practice, per The Athletic’s Josh Kendall.

As for Robinson, he appears to be continuing his hold in at Falcons training camp. Bijan was out there wearing his jersey, but did not have his helmet or cleats on.
