Travis Kelce reveals how Taylor Swift almost got him to betray Cavs with Knicks move

Long before she attended the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game 3 loss with Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift was seen in New York Knicks gear, indicating she was a fan of the team.

Perhaps this explains why she was so excited to attend the game with Kelce, who discussed the experience on New Heights. He conceded that not many teams could get Swift to wear their jersey, and yet, the Knicks did that. Granted, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end probably would as well if it meant he got to link up with Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire.

Obviously, Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, two of my f*****g favorite players… can I get a picture? I’ll throw on a Knicks jersey [if I] get a picture with those guys,” he said, laughing. “Obviously, Tay’s got a lot of New York ties. When it came down to going to the Cavs game, she was like, ‘Oh, nice! They’re playing the Knicks. Sweet! I’ve seen them play before.'”

Kelce and Swift shocked the NBA world by going to Rocket Arena to watch the Cavaliers’ Game 3 loss to the Knicks. Naturally, given their A-list status, they were seated courtside with the best view of the game.

Unfortunately for Kelce, his hometown team wasn’t able to pick up the win. The Cavs lost Game 3 by 13 points to the Knicks. This loss put Cleveland’s back against the wall before Game 4. Ultimately, the Cavaliers would be eliminated and swept by the Knicks.

Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He just joined the Cleveland Guardians’ ownership group as a minority investor. The city clearly still means a lot to the All-Pro tight end.
