Tottenham double-winning icon Terry Dyson dies aged 91
Tottenham have announced that Terry Dyson has passed away at the age of 91.
The former winger featured over 200 times for the north Londoners and was part of their historic double triumph in the 1960/61 season.

Dyson was part of the squad that, at the time, became the third side in English football history to win the First Division and FA Cup in the same season.
He scored 17 goals across both competitions, one of which came in their 2-0 FA Cup final win over Leicester City.
“The club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of our former player, Terry Dyson at the age of 91,” Spurs said in a statement.
“Terry was a key part of our double-winning side in 1961, scoring in the FA Cup Final. He also scored twice in the 1963 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final. He made 209 appearances in all competitions, scoring 55 goals.
“Our deepest condolences are with Terry’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
Described by Spurs as a ‘5ft 3in pocket dynamo’, Dyson’s talent was spotted when he played for the army during national service in 1954.
He played for his hometown and non-league side Scarborough before earning a move to London.
Dyson joined Spurs in 1955 and spent a decade at the club, adding a European Cup Winners’ Cup to his double triumph.
During his time at the club, he achieved a feat that has never been repeated to this day.
He scored a hat-trick against rivals Arsenal during a 4-3 win in August 1961, making him the first and only Spurs player to do so.
