Isak has a point to prove on his return

Isak’s first season at Anfield never got going. He arrived without a pre-season behind him after forcing his move through, then broke his leg in the act of scoring against Tottenham in December and lost almost four months. He finished with four goals from 22 appearances, only 13 of them starts.

The version Newcastle remember is a different player. Isak scored 62 goals in 109 games for the Magpies, 54 of them in 86 Premier League appearances, and in his final season at St James’ Park he registered 46 shots on target across the league campaign alone.
