Texas A&M lands 5-star OL over Florida, LSU, Tennessee

Texas A&M football stacked notable wins in both the NFL Draft and College Football Recruiting. KC Concepcion landing in the first round to the Cleveland Browns represents the former. The latter arrived Sunday morning as the Aggies beat Florida, LSU and Tennessee for five-star offensive lineman Kennedy Brown.

The offensive tackle confirmed his decision with Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals by saying “Gig ‘Em” in his post. He hands head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies a new blue chip talent to work with.

Brown’s decision rises as a significant local win too for A&M, as he stars for Kingwood High in Houston. There’s the belief he could move inside, though, as On3/Rivals lists him as the nation’s No. 3 IOL talent. Charles Power of the outlet likes his game.

“Explosive and long-armed offensive tackle prospect with rare reach, heavy hands, and the athletic ability to dominate both phases up front,” Power began with his evaluation. “Shows excellent striking power, using his length and punch to stun defensive linemen at the point of attack. Moves easily to the second level and looks to finish blocks with effort and physicality.”

Yet again his size presents the idea of moving inside.

“Shorter than the typical top tackle prospect but makes up for it with elite reach and functional strength,” Power adds. “Had some lapses in pass protection on junior film after transitioning to the left side, but the athletic traits and power profile remain evident. Projects as one of the top offensive line prospects in the 2027 cycle.”

Brown rises as the second major recruiting win for the Aggies. Four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw chose Texas A&M over Alabama and Miami back on April 15.
