Seahawks host Trevon Diggs for tryout with Terrion Arnold signing in limbo
The Seattle Seahawks are poised to sign cornerback Terrion Arnold. But with his status murky at best, the franchise is now seeing who else is available at the position.
On Tuesday, the Seahawks hosted Trevon Diggs for a tryout, via Adam Schefter of ESPN. Currently, there is no deal in place.
If Arnold officially signs with the Seahawks, he will immediately be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. The cornerback was arrested earlier in the offseason for kidnapping and robbery. Until his legal situation plays out, there’s no guarantee Arnold can even suit up for Seattle.
But Diggs can. He’ll first need to make an impression on the Seahawks’ decision makers. With cornerback clearly being a major want, Diggs has a prime opportunity at his hands. If Seattle likes what they see, perhaps the defensive back finds a permanent home before the 2026 season.
Diggs spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys before playing a game with the Green Bay Packers in 2025. In that time, the cornerback has put up 242 tackles, 63 passes defended and 20 interceptions. He broke onto the scene in 2021, when he led the NFL with 11 interception. That season and in 2022, Diggs was named to the Pro Bowl.
The cornerback has been unable to live up to those standards since then. He didn’t record a pass break up or interception over his nine games in 2025. But he did have two in 2024. And still only 27-years-old, Diggs is looking to prove he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
The Seahawks will now get a close look at where he stands. How Diggs fares in his tryout will determine both he and Seattle’s next move.
