Raiders’ Brock Bowers reveals 1 adjustment Tom Brady has made this offseason
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers says minority owner Tom Brady has taken a more active presence around the organization this offseason as the franchise prepares for the 2026 NFL season.
Brady attended the Raiders’ second open OTA practice this week, continuing a trend that players have noticed throughout the offseason. According to a report from The Athletic’s Sam Warren, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was on the sidelines observing practice and monitoring the team’s progress under first-year head coach Klint Kubiak.
While Brady has periodically attended football operations and team activities since purchasing a minority stake in the organization three years ago, Bowers indicated that his involvement has become more visible in recent months.
Warren wrote:
“The Las Vegas Raiders had a high-profile observer at their second open OTA practice.
Tom Brady was in attendance for the team’s voluntary offseason session Thursday. The franchise’s minority owner stood on the sidelines and watched, monitoring as first-year head coach Klint Kubiak conducted the practice. Brady has occasionally been present for Raiders football activities since he bought his stake in the team three years ago, but tight end Brock Bowers said appearances have been more common this offseason.”
Bowers welcomed Brady’s increased presence and described the former quarterback as a valuable resource for players throughout the organization.
“He’s definitely been around more.”
Bowers added:
“He’s a resource anytime we need him. It’s really good to have that kind of guy around. I mean, (he’s) the GOAT. It’s great to have him around, and he’ll help with any questions we have.”
Tom Brady’s increased presence comes amid major Raiders offseason changes
Brady’s involvement comes during a pivotal offseason for the Raiders as the organization attempts to rebound from a disappointing 3-14 campaign in 2025. The franchise has undergone significant changes, including the hiring of Klint Kubiak as head coach and the selection of quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Las Vegas is also continuing to build around a young core led by Brock Bowers and star defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Bowers emerged as one of the league’s most productive young offensive weapons during his rookie season and is expected to remain a focal point of the Raiders’ offense entering 2026. Having Brady available around the facility provides players with direct access to one of the most accomplished figures in NFL history.
Las Vegas still has several important offseason sessions remaining before training camp begins. The Raiders are scheduled to continue OTAs from June 1-4 before holding mandatory minicamp from June 6-11.
The team will then turn its attention toward Week 1, when it opens the regular season at home against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 13. The game is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on FOX.
For now, Brady’s increased visibility around the organization appears to be one of the notable changes as the Raiders prepare for the upcoming season.
