Rachel DeMita reacts to viral Caitlin Clark-Stephanie White interaction in Fever-Fire
Recently, all the talk surrounding the Indiana Fever is about the heated exchange between guard Caitlin Clark and coach Stephanie White. They had an animated discussion during a timeout in the second quarter against the Portland Fire on Saturday.
The Fever lost, 100-84, and fell to 4-4. Clark and White downplayed their sideline altercation, which quickly went viral, stating that it was just two passionate individuals wanting to win.
White even brought up a double standard in sports when she addressed the matter.
Many have chimed in on the issue, including basketball host Rachel DeMita, who claimed that something might be simmering within the Fever.
“This was a very frustrating game. So I can understand frustrations in the huddle. I can also understand moments where players and coaches get into it. Even the last time that these two got into it, I came on here and I told you guys, ‘I don’t think this is that big of a deal,’ because you have a fiery player, you have a fiery coach, this is bound to happen,” said DeMita on “Courtside Club.”
“But now that this has happened twice in a row, within 10 days of one another, yeah, maybe there is a little bit of concern about what’s going on with the Indiana Fever.”

Clark also had a heated exchange with assistant coach Briann January on the bench during their game against the Seattle Storm. The Fever won, 89-78.
The 24-year-old Clark and the 48-year-old White have maintained that they have a “great relationship.”
According to a report from the Associated Press’ Michael Marmot, the Fever had a team meeting on Monday amid their up-and-down campaign, although specifics about what was discussed were not disclosed.
Indiana will try to break a two-game skid on Thursday against the Atlanta Dream.
