Bills’ Josh Allen following in Hailee Steinfeld’s footsteps with ‘Out of Pocket’ off-field move

Perhaps after his playing days are over, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen may have a career in entertainment like his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld.

The former NFL MVP has launched Out of Pocket Studios, which will see him back “entertainment, commercial, and experiential projects.” He will serve as the CEO and will executive produce all projects.

This move is an extension of Allen’s deal with Skydance Sports (part of Paramount Skydance). Lindsey Cohen will serve as the president of strategy and operations at Out of Pocket Studios, overseeing its “day-to-day operations.”

“Skydance Sports has given me a platform to turn the ideas I care most about into something real,” said Allen in a statement. “We’re excited to share what Out of Pocket Studios has created so far, and for everyone to see what we’re building from here.”

The studio’s slate begins almost immediately. Its slate includes a Labor Day TV special titled America’s Tailgate for CBS. NFL Play Action will also premiere on Sep. 9. It is hosted by Kyle Brandt and Ally Love.

Additionally, Allen has already sold a comedy series that he created. A release date and further details are not known as of the time of this writing.

Allen and Steinfeld are now both part of the entertainment industry. Steinfeld, of course, has been an acclaimed actress for years. Meanwhile, her husband has recently started venturing into the industry.

Steinfeld is best known for her roles in True Grit, The Edge of Seventeen, Bumblebee, and Sinners. She has also starred in the Pitch Perfect and Spider-Verse series.

Allen is heading into his ninth season in the NFL with the Bills. He has already won an NFL MVP and has taken his team to the playoffs in all but one of his seasons in the league.
