Packers’ legend’s cameo makes perfect sense in 2026 schedule reveal
There’s no doubt that every team got creative with their 2026 schedule release, and none of them fell short of entertaining. The Green Bay Packers decided to release an animated version for their release that included clay characters of Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, Tucker Kraft, and Micah Parsons.
They were set in the “Kickin’ Curds Arcade” and, toward the end of the video, no other than Clay Matthews revealed himself as the gamemaster, disguising himself as the Packy Packer, which was the short-lived Packers mascot in the 1980s. In order for the players to be able to get the 2026 schedule, they had to defeat Matthews, and they did so.

Matthews also went back to his moment last year when he said he had a message from the president, in which he said: “The Bears still suck.”
“I just got off the phone with the president, he wanted to pass along a message to you, it is time,” the animated Matthews said.
After that, the schedule was released to the fans, but luckily, they were able to enjoy a laugh beforehand.
The Packers are set to open the season against the Minnesota Vikings, and they play them again in Week 15 before their bye. Another notable game is that they’ll face the Chicago Bears on Christmas, and they’ll finish the season against the Detroit Lions.
It will be interesting to see what kind of season the Packers have this season after losing some key players on offense, but also adding talent on both sides of the ball.
The hope is that Micah Parsons can return when the season starts, as he still recovers from his ACL injury, and that should help the team in a big way.
