Packers’ Josh Jacobs facing reduced charges after May arrest
The Green Bay Packers had to deal with Josh Jacobs’ arrest earlier this year. And they have a backup plan if he faces a suspension. However, Jacobs is facing reduced charges after his May arrest, according to a post on X by Tom Pelissero.
“The Brown County District Attorney has formally charged Packers RB Josh Jacobs with two misdemeanors related to his May arrest. Originally booked on five charges, including felony strangulation, Jacobs now faces reduced charges of misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property. The NFL has been monitoring all developments in the matter, which remains under review.”
Jacobs is a 28-year-old, seven-year veteran. He came over to the Packers from the Raiders back in 2024. In his first season in Green Bay, he rushed for 1,329 yards with 15 touchdowns. Last year, he totaled 929 yards rushing with 13 scores.
