Fever’s Lexie Hull makes thoughts clear on Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell’s MVP chances

The Indiana Fever have been playing some excellent basketball of late, currently sitting at 25-14 after a recent road win over the Chicago Sky. Caitlin Clark was the story of the game in this one, scoring 37 points on 13-for-24 from the field, including 8-12 from beyond the arc, to go along with 10 assists.

Both Clark and Mitchell have garnered legit MVP consideration for their performances this year, and now, their teammate, Fever forward Lexie Hull, has weighed in on how she views the race.

“I think any of them deserve it for sure. I think for us, it just shows the success of our team. I think all of them can tell you that they’re just such big team players. They’ll do whatever we need for our team to win, and it’s showing up on the stat sheet for sure… I think we’ll be so happy, the city will be so happy, our fans will be so proud. Regardless, we’re proud of them,” she said, per WISH-TV News on X, formerly Twitter.

It’s not a common thing for the same team to have two legit MVP candidates in the same season, but that’s exactly the situation the Fever find themselves in as the WNBA playoffs quickly approach.

Clark has shaken off a bit of a turbulent start to the year to once again look like the most exciting player in the sport, while Mitchell has been steady throughout the year, showing why she almost led the Fever to the WNBA Finals in Clark’s absence last season.

Although both players are expected to be behind A’ja Wilson in the race for MVP, it’s still an exciting storyline for the Fever nonetheless.
