No plans for White House WWE event after UFC Freedom 250, but there’s a catch

On Jun. 14, 2026, UFC hosted its much-awaited Freedom 250 event at the White House. Completely free to watch and catered to the country’s military, Freedom 250 was considered a viewership success; however, not so much financially.

After years of discussion, TKO/UFC is finally done with its White House event, although it came at a huge financial cost. Now, it seems, WWE won’t be going that path soon, despite their close relationship with the USA President, Donald Trump.

According to sources close to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, a WWE White House show is not on the cards. However, there’s a catch to it. Despite the chances of WWE not running a White House show, they potentially remain open to the offer based on how much sense the financials make. Recently, UFC President Dana White also added that the UFC missed out on a lot of money due to their White House show. Nick Khan, Triple H, and Roman Reigns all represented WWE at UFC’s Freedom 250. Multiple WWE Superstars were also present at the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest.

Recently, in New York City, UFC veteran Conor McGregor opened up on Roman Reigns’ Freedom 250 appearance and heavily criticized it.

“I don’t know. They [UFC] should’ve platformed our own combatants,” he claimed. “Put them next to these guys. Put our guys next to these guys, what, so who the f**k are you? What’s up? Let it be seen by the public, and then we’d have something to look forward to on our side. Bouts to look forward to, guys to look forward to. Remember, these guys crashed here and there. It builds the story.”
