Bengals appear to have fixed roster issues

Quarterback Joe Burrow suffered another injury-hit campaign in 2025, but his return to fitness and Cincinnati’s decision to overhaul their defence gives them every chance of being competitive.

The Bengals have brought in defensive tackles Dexter Lawrence II and Jonathan Allen, as well as edge rusher Boye Mafe. And they will hope they can give them the improvement they need to stop conceding points at an alarming rate.

Rookie Cashius Howell will also look to do some damage up front on defence, while Cincinnati have an easy schedule compared to plenty of their rivals.

Eagles look dangerous once again

Philadelphia Eagles lost wide receiver A.J. Brown to New England Patriots, but that should give DeVonta Smith the chance to shine. Makai Lemon was picked up in the draft, while new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion could bring out the best in quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia’s defence is ruthless and could win games single-handedly, and some members of the Eagles roster have been there and done it when it comes to going all the way.

With only Dallas Cowboys expected to challenge them for the NFC East crown, Philly can rack up the wins this season.

Rams look primed for Super Bowl charge

Sean McVay’s Los Angeles Rams finished the 2025 campaign with an 11-6 record and they achieved that thanks to their outstanding passing offence.

Matthew Stafford is ageing like a fine wine; Puka Nacua was as busy as ever, while Davante Adams added a touch of class in key areas to score 14 receiving touchdowns, the most in the NFL.

The addition of defensive monster Myles Garrett, who registered 23 sacks last season, was enough to catch people’s attention, but they also brought back Aaron Donald from retirement and added cornerback Trent McDuffie.

The Rams look elite on both sides of the ball – they will take some stopping this season.

Broncos can learn from 2025 heartbreak

Denver Broncos were one of the surprise packages in 2025, with Sean Payton’s team finishing the season with a 14-3 record.

An injury to QB Bo Nix saw them fall short in the playoffs, but they have added Jaylen Waddle to their receiver room and beefed up their running back options.

Defensively, they were solid last year and Payton has plenty of depth in key areas to keep his team in a good position. Los Angeles Chargers look like their main threat in the AFC West, with Kansas City Chiefs looking a little vulnerable ahead of the new campaign.

Denver should only build on last year’s success and another season of 11 wins or more looks likely.
