How do you play the NBA The Run Beta?

The NBA THE RUN Open Beta is this Saturday, May 30, 10AM–6PM PT on XBOX Series X|S, PS5 & Steam/PC (cross-play enabled). It’s a Server Slam!

You can download the NBA The Run Beta on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on May 30th, 2026 at 10am PDT/1pm EDT. You do not need a code nor do you need to sign up for the beta anywhere.

The NBA The Run Beta officially runs from 10am PDT/1pm EDT – 6pm PDT/9pm PDT. That give gives players roughly eight hours to check out the game. Play in a variety of modes like:

• Knockout Squads – 3v3 streetball game where you control one of the three players on the court
• Knockout Solos – Control an entire team of 3v3 in a 3v3 streetball game

NBA The Run features a more arcade basketball gameplay experience that emphasizes player expression. In the game, you can use four different advanced dunks and taunts, as well as new crossovers, Shammgods, Slip N’ Slides, and more.

The game officially releases on June 9th, 2026, with two different editions available for pre-order. The full game will feature a Run The World Tournament, 30+ NBA Stars, and five fictional streetball legends. Each player possesses their own playstyles, making each of them feel unique.
