Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay in heated sideline exchange as Rams QB visibly struggles with hand injury
The Los Angeles Rams are holding on for dear life.
The Rams appear to be unraveling in their Wild Card game against the Carolina Panthers, as head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford seem to be on different pages.

The Rams jumped out to an early 10-point lead, but the Panthers have since clawed their way back behind quarterback Bryce Young and a defense that has bowed up.
McVay and Stafford were seen arguing over what appeared to be a play call.
The FOX broadcast caught McVay saying something to Stafford as he came off the field after a fourth-down play, stopping him in his tracks.
The two appeared to exchange a few tense words, though that can likely be attributed to playoff intensity in the heat of the moment, and nothing more.
Fans are also speculating that Stafford may have injured his throwing hand or fingers after hitting them on a Panthers player’s helmet.
He opened the game 8-for-8 but has since gone just 15-for-31 for 204 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.
However, he led the Rams on a go-ahead drive with under nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, giving them a 27-24 lead.
Stafford and McVay appeared to be on the same page on that drive.
The burden now falls on Young to guide Carolina to its first playoff win since 2015, in front of a raucous home crowd hungry for postseason success.
