New $2.1bn NFL stadium sets highest season ticket prices as fans fume
The Buffalo Bills have a brand new stadium.
But that has come at a huge cost to the Bills Mafia faithful.
According to NFL insider Joe Pompliano, the average cost to purchase a Bills ticket – on the secondary market at resale value – at the New Highmark Stadium for the 2026 NFL season is $610.
This is by far the highest average get-in price, with the next highest being the Philadelphia Eagles as fans have to fork out an average of $473 to watch their beloved team at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Chicago Bears round out the top three, with tickets to attend a single home game at Soldier Field coming in at around $472 per game.
Josh Allen and co’s new home cost $2.1 billion to construct, with $850 million coming from taxpayer funding as part of the deal.

With research from The Action Network estimating that a family of four will spend an average of $2,193.95 to attend a single Bills game – the highest in the NFL and one of just four teams to surpass the $2,100 mark – fans have been left frustrated.
“NFL games aren’t for the middle class and haven’t been for a long time,” one fan posted to X.
“How is the devoted middle class Buffalo guy, who’s been going to games for 30 years, going to afford $600, just for the ticket. Add his beer/hot dog and parking and he’s over $700+,’ a second user commented.
“The Bills’ owners got money from the state and yet they are still overcharging their fans. Such greed!” a third fan highlighted.
“That stadium needs to get paid off one way or another. Ticket sales is the fastest way to do that,” a fourth fan pointed out.
“11,500 less seats in the new stadium increases the demand as well,” a fifth added.
Issues arising at new stadium
Since opening to the public for the very first time earlier in August, the Bills have continued to receive backlash over their new home.
Many complaints arose surrounding the sight lines of some seats, with some having stairwells obstruct views of the entire field.
Other criticisms included the size of the video boards being too small, as well as shelter from rain not being as advertised in the construction process.
The Bills have since addressed the complaints, with the stadium even labeled in some quarters as an insult to the Mafia fans.
With Buffalo appearing to be operating on a case-by-case basis, former Bills safety Jordan Poyer spoke out in support of the fans who have paid their ‘hard-earned money’ for season tickets.
“I do think that it’s fair for the fans to be concerned and to be vocal about what’s going on with their seats,” Poyer said.
“These fans pay hard-earned money to go to these games and to support the teams that they love. The Bills fans are passionate about the game of football.
“I know I would be p***** if I spent X amount of money and I come to my seat and find out I can only see half of the field. It’s a topic that needs to be brought up and addressed.
“When you build this new stadium, it needs to be right for everybody, yeah you say you need to purchase different tickets or this and that, but these might be the only ones I can afford,” he continued.
“I do think it’s fair for the fans to be vocal and express their concerns but again, it’s a new regime, it’s a new stadium and it’s beautiful and I am excited about the Bills this year.”
